lava, is connected to Vienna International Airport and Südtiroler Platz in Vienna by almost hourly buses (one way/re-
turn valid 180 days €7.70/14.30). Book online at www.slovaklines.sk or at www.eurolines.com . You can also take the
bus to the centre of Bratislava and pick up a frequent train from Bratislava train station to Vienna.

Bus
Travelling by bus is a cheap but less comfortable way to reach Austria from other European countries. Some options
are listed below.
EUROLINES
Eurolines ( Graz 0316-67 11 55, Vienna 01-798 29 00; www.eurolines.at ) buses pass through Vienna, stops in Aus-
tria include Graz, Linz, Salzburg, Klagenfurt, Villach and Innsbruck. A 15-day adult pass is €210 to €350, a 30-day
pass is €315 to €460 (cheaper for those under 26 and over 60). Covers 42 cities across Europe, including Vienna, Italy,
Germany, Czech Republic and Hungary
London Buses connect London (Victoria coach station) and Vienna (one way/return €108/148, 23 hours, six days per
week); anyone under 26 or over 60 gets a 10% discount on most fares and passes.
Prague Buses (one way/return €22/44, four hours) run three times daily.
Bratislava From Vienna 10 buses run daily (one way/return €7.20/12, 80 minutes). Bratislava Airport one way/return
is €10/18.
BUSABOUT
London-based Busabout ( UK 08450 267 514; www.busabout.com ; 1/2/3 loops €515/879/1069) offers hop-on,
hop-off passes for travel to about 50 European cities from May to late October. The Northern Loop includes Vienna
and Salzburg, as well as Prague, Amsterdam, Paris and several German cities.
