Franz bend over backwards to please at this homely chalet, with sweet and simple rooms
dressed in traditional Tyrolean style, with lots of wood and florals. Stay here for the

needed for a sound night's sleep. A sauna takes the chill out of winter.

of Tyrolean rusticity, this woody restaurant, named after its sawmill, hides in the forest, a
20-minute walk north of town. Or reach it on cross-country skis or by horse-drawn car-
riage in winter. Sit by the open fire or on the terrace for regional dishes that play up sea-
sonal, farm-fresh ingredients, from trout to game and wild mushrooms.

Strandperle

waters of Wildsee, Strandperle is a funky glass-and-granite place. The menu delivers
Med-inspired flavours like pepper-crusted tuna with lemon rice and saffron risotto. The
decked terrace has the finest views of the Alps anywhere in Seefeld.
