small place serves delicious fish from the Millstätter See and the Weissensee, including
smoked trout the owners will pack for a picnic. Grab a bread roll from the bakery across
the street.

atrium with a deck area, and a beach bar extending over the water for summer sipping,
this lakeside bar is easily Millstatt's best drinking venue. It opens from 10am in many
months.

Getting There & Around
Postbus services to Millstatt depart from outside Spittal train station (€3.40, 20 minutes,
two hourly), with some continuing to Bad Kleinkirchheim (from Spittal €7, one hour).
Mountainbike Station Thomas Graf ( 0650-356 3181; www.mountainbike-station.at ; Kaiser-Franz-Josef-Strasse
59; 9am-6pm Mon-Fri, to 3pm Sat & Sun May-mid-Oct) rents mountain bikes for €21 and electric
bikes for €24 per 24 hours.
OSTTIROL CARD
Lienz' best summer deal is the seven-day Osttirol Card (adult/child €46/22), which is sold at the tourist office.
The card is available from June to mid- September and covers all of Lienz' major sights, including Schloss
Bruck and Aguntum, as well as activities such as Galitzenklamm, local swimming pools and cable cars.
