Getting Around
TO/FROM THE AIRPORT
Trains depart the Hauptbahnhof (€2.20) from 4.25am to 12.08am Monday to early
Saturday morning, from 5.57am Saturday and Sunday to 12.08am the next morning.
Trains leave the airport from 4.47am to 10.47pm Monday to Friday, from 5.17am to
10.47pm Saturday and from 5.17am to 9.47pm Sunday, at least hourly. The trip between
the train station and airport takes 18 minutes. An infrequent bus also runs to the airport
from the Hauptbahnhof; it takes 20 minutes and can be convenient between trains. Ex-
pect to pay about €20 for a taxi.
BICYCLE
Rental is available from Bicycle ( 68 86 45; www.bicycle.at ; Körösistrasse 5; per 24hr €10, weekend (Fri-
Mon) €16; 7am-1pm & 2-6pm Mon-Fri) . Mobilzentral ( www.mobilzentral.at ) has city rental bicycles
for €10 per day or €40 per week and Radstation am Hauptbahnhof ( http://grazbike.at ; Europaplatz 4;
from €10 per day, €40 per week;
8am-11.45am & 12.45-5pm) has bike hire outside the main train
station.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Graz has one zone (zone 101). Single tickets (€2.10) for buses and trams are valid for one
hour, but you're usually better off buying a 24-hour pass (€4.70). Ten one-zone tickets
cost €19.20, and weekly/monthly passes cost €12.70/42.60. Hourly and 24-hour tickets
can be purchased from the driver; other passes can be purchased from Tabak (tobaccon-
ist) shops, pavement ticket machines or the tourist office.

TRAM
Trams 1, 3, 6 and 7 connect Jakominiplatz with the Hauptbahnhof every five to 20
minutes from around 4.45am to early evening Monday to Saturday. After that, trams 1
and 7 do the run alone until services end just before midnight.
