comprises an oriental-style lounge, ivy-draped garden, well-stocked wine cellar and
glamorous restaurant. Brick vaults and clever backlighting set the scene for Sascha
Wurdinger's crossover dishes, such as caramelised sturgeon with goulash jus and melt-
ingly tender braised beef cheeks with yogurt, aubergines and raisins - all beautifully
cooked and presented.

Linz' student population keeps the scene young and upbeat. Your best bet for a bar crawl
is the area west of the Hauptplatz nicknamed the 'Bermuda Triangle'; Altstadt and Hof-
berg are peppered with pubs, cafes and wine bars.
