Getting There & Away
St Pölten has good road connections: the east-west A1/E60 passes a few kilometres south
of the city and the S33 branches north from there, bypassing St Pölten to the east, and
continuing to Krems.
Trains run around three times an hour from Vienna Westbahnhof to St Pölten (€12, 30
minutes). There are also hourly direct trains to Krems (€7.60, 45 minutes), twice hourly
