Vienna Airport
Lines has three services connecting different parts of Vienna with the airport. The most
central is to/from the Vienna Airport Lines bus stop at Morzinplatz/ Schwedenplatz (bus
1185; one way €8, 20 minutes), running via Wien-Mitte. A service also runs to/from Wi-
en Westbahnhof via Wien Dörfelstrasse (Wien-Meidling Bahnhof) while the Haupt-
bahnhof is being completed.
BICYCLE
Cycling is an excellent way to get around and explore the city - over 800km of cycle
tracks criss-cross the capital. Popular cycling areas include the 7km path around the
Ringstrasse, the Donauinsel, the Prater and along the Danube Canal. There are a number
of options for keen cyclists.

Stands are
scattered throughout the city. A credit card and €1 registration fee is required to hire
bikes; just swipe your card in the machine and follow the instructions (provided in a
number of languages). They can only be locked up at a bike station, unless you have your
own bike chain. A lost bike will set you back €600.

cycling (from €14 per day) and excursions out of town (from €19 per day); it also does
tours of the Wachau.
CAR & MOTORCYCLE
Due to a system of one-way streets and expensive parking, you're better off using Vi-
enna's excellent public transport. If you do plan to drive in the city, take special care of
the trams; they always have priority and vehicles must wait behind trams when they stop
to pick up or set down passengers.
