Galleries in the West
The most-established and best-connected art scene in Colorado is in Aspen, with a number
of galleries tucked between fashion boutiques, perched over courtyard restaurants and oc-
cupying entire mini-malls in the historic downtown. Of course, gaudy and clichéd collec-
tions cling on like sparkly souvenir shops, but one spot will stand out. The 212 Gallery is
among the most forward thinking, bringing a NYC edge to the mountain air.
The fledgling art scenes of Mancos and Pueblo sponsor First Friday art walks in the
summer, held on the first Friday of the month.
