Riverwalk

weekends May-Aug; ) A pedestrian -friendly and peacefully lazy channeled slice of
the Arkansas - the rest of it is running more fiercely underground - this is the center of
historic Pueblo. There are sidewalks on both sides of the river and plenty of shady seating
too. It runs for about four blocks and during the summer months you can book pedal boats
or take a gondola tour. The city also hosts occasional concerts and events here.

With one exception, Pueblo's sleeping options are all chains. Eagleridge Blvd (I-25, exit
102) in north Pueblo has more than a half-dozen familiar names; Hampton Inn (

) is the best of the
bunch.
Edgar Olin House

is set in Pueblo's architecturally interesting, though somewhat dilapidated, historic resid-
ential district. With period furnishings in the Victorian interior and welcoming hosts, this
is the finest place to stay in town.

definitely consider this family restaurant in the Buell Children's Museum.
Hopscotch Bakery

enough to see a few sights and grab a bite to eat, make that bite happen here. There are
fresh pastries and quiche of the day, cookies, tarts and home-made ice cream, and some
