Shopping
All the best shopping can be found along the main drags in Old Colorado City and Manit-
ou Springs. It's mostly souvenir shops and New Age vendors plying crystals and magic
wands, but it makes for a fun browse.

Getting There & Away
Colorado Springs Airport ( 719-550-1900; www.springsgov.com ; 7770 Milton E Proby Pkwy; ) A smart
alternative to Denver. The local airport is served principally by United and Delta and flies
to 11 major cities around the country. There is no public transportation into town,
however, so you'll have to rent a car or take a cab.
Greyhound ( 719-635-1505; 120 S Weber St) Greyhound buses heading north and south on I-25
roll through town daily.
Getting Around
All street parking is meter only; if you have your own wheels, bring lots of quarters. Man-
itou Springs is served by a free shuttle from mid-May to mid-September, so you can park
at the entrance to town on Colorado Ave, where there are designated lots.
Mountain Metropolitan Transit ( www.springsgov.com ; per trip $1.75, day pass $4) A reliable bus line that
serves the entire Pikes Peak area. Bus 3 is the most useful, running from downtown
through Old Colorado City and on to Manitou Springs. Maps and schedule information is
available online. Exact change only.
Yellow Cab ( 719-777-7777) The Yellow Cab fare from the airport to the city center is about
$30. It's about $48 to Manitou Springs.
