For pan-Asian
cuisine, make your way to this two-story dining space. Prices are dear but the presentation
- ranging from sushi to curries - is lovely and the outstanding mojitos have plenty of rock
and roll. Korean short ribs just about fall off the bone. So lively and fresh, we can even
forgive the pan flutes.

Well worth a visit in low
season for some real local flavor and opinions. At other times, it's a rush hour of beautiful
people. But old bullet holes in the wall testify to the plucky survival of the bar itself, even
as the adjoining hotel sold off chandeliers and antiques to pay the heating bills when min-
ing fortunes waned.

A hip social alcove for cocktails and nibbling, plus weekend brunch.
Bigger appetites can dine on shareable mains such as whole Colorado trout. On a comic-
book-style menu, East-meets-West in yummy lettuce wraps, duck ramen and sashimi
tostadas, paired with original hand-shaken drinks. We liked the jalapeño kiss.

right at home at casual Smugglers, a great place to hang out, sample local brew and eat
fried stuff. With at least seven beers on tap, it's a smorgasbord, but go for the chocolatey
Two Plank Porter or the Smugglers' Scottish Strong Ale.
