The most atmo-
spheric digs in Salida, the three-story Palace is an old railway hotel (1909) that was en-
tirely renovated in 2012 by Vicki and Fred Klein. It's now a smart, solar-powered
boutique option, with 14 personalized suites and a vintage claw-foot-bathtub-style decor.
Some suites sleep up to four people; all include kitchenettes and continental breakfast.
