Just two short blocks from the gondola, the Mountain Chalet has a great location .
Rooms at this family run hotel are a bit outdated and bland, but clean and comfortable
nevertheless. The hot tub and sauna are perfect after a long day on the slopes. The best
deals here are the recently redone apartment suites ($600), which sleep six.

There's a certain B&B-style intimacy at this very cute boutique hotel set in what feels like
a modern farmhouse. Rooms have old-school woodburning stoves, flatscreen TVs, high
ceilings and large stylish wardrobes decked out with vanities. There's also a wood-barrel
hot tub on the roof deck, and a chef shows up every morning to prepare a gourmet break-
fast.

At the base of the Aspen ski area, this oh-so-hip hotel is an elegant affair with a funky
twist. Rooms are minimalist, but playful - yellow walls meet Southwestern wooden
beams, while animal-print bathrobes and faux-fur throws offset the white Frette linens.
Be sure to check out the huge lobby with its oversized leather chairs, rock wall, lit
Aspen trees and table strewn with board games for guests to borrow. Outside, the hot tub
and splash pool beckon after a day on the slopes.

granite-counter kitchens, gas fireplaces - but you can rent studios too.
