local favorite and low-key choice for a drink, with six shooters and a Winchester behind
the bar, Annie Oakley posters on the wall and open booths to lounge in if you're in the
mood for burgers and green chili.

Steve's Guitars
( www.stevesguitars.net ; 19 N 4th St) On weekend nights, this unassuming guitar shop turns into an
intimate one-room venue where the focus is all about enjoying great, usually acoustic,
music. Shows at this community favorite start around 8:30pm on Friday and/or Saturday
nights, but it's best to turn up earlier if you want a seat. The cover charge is not always
fixed, so come with a variety of bills in your pocket.

Carbondale is 13 miles south of Glenwood Springs and 29 miles northwest of Aspen on
Hwy 82. RFTA ( Click here ) runs regular buses up and down the valley.
