Beau Jo's
( 303-567-4376; www.beaujos.com ; 1517 Miner St; large pizza $16-23.50; 11am-9pm; ) Beau
Jo's thick-crust mountain pies are far from gourmet, but if you're in need of a high-calorie
meal after a hard day's play, it will certainly do you right. A Colorado institution, it's a
sure-fire kid pleaser.
Tommyknocker Brewery
( 303-567-2688; www.tommyknocker.com ; 1401 Miner St; mains $10-14; 11am-2am) You don't even
have to like beer to know these guys are good: scores of medals from beer competitions
hang over the sunlit dining space in a testament to the expert brews. Above- average pub
food - from buffalo burgers to brats and sauerkraut - and an amiable staff clinch it. It also
serves house-brewed root beer.

DRIVING I-70
Although I-70's mountain stretch can be downright scenic, the interstate - particularly on weekends and in bad
weather - sometimes resembles more of a parking lot than a highway. If you're trying to trump the traffic, make
use of the website or app http://goI70.com to get the latest on road conditions.
