KREMMLING
POP 1444 / ELEV 7313FT
It's too bad that little Kremmling doesn't get much more than a cursory glance from the
rushing traffic between Steamboat Springs and the Front Range; this wide spot in the road
is a great place to get out and kick the tires a bit, and the locals are friendly. There are a
couple of decent lunch spots and some antique shopping in the tiny downtown area. The
town has long been known as a popular base for hunters and snowmobilers and a lot of ef-
fort has recently been made to encourage mountain bikers and rafting expeditions.
