At the junction of US 40 and US 34, Granby is a convenient and authentic homegrown stop
for those heading into Rocky Mountain National Park or several other nearby recreation
and ski areas. The USFS Sulphur District Ranger Office ( 970-887-4100; 62429 US 40; 8am-5pm Mon-
Fri, plus 8am-5pm Sat & Sun summer) for the Arapaho National Forest is at the east end of town and
has useful hiking brochures for the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail, the Never
Summer Wilderness Area and the Winter Park-Fraser-Tabernash area. It is also the place
to get permits for backcountry camping in the Indian Peaks Wilderness.

beginner terrain and mountain biking in the summer.

clusive experience, home cookin', daily guided horseback rides and evening programs are
all part of the weekly price. Even though it ain't fancy, the Fosha family offer the most
genuine 'dude ranch' experience in Colorado. The cabin accommodations are decked out in
Western-themed coziness and it's an ideal space for families looking to escape the urban
grind.
Hitting the trail on horseback is the main focus; even those with no horse sense will
leave with basic riding skills.
