The Peak to Peak Hwy (Hwy 72) is one of the state's most scenic drives. If you're driving between Denver and
Rocky Mountain National Park, definitely consider this route.

Stop at the Mile 40 marker to head up to Rainbow Lakes and the Arapahoe Glacier Trails.

The lake is beautiful, and there are good trails from here into the Indian Peaks backcountry.

On Hwy 7, just before the true start of the Peak to Peak, this wonderfully crafted church
was visited by the pope.
