Affordable luxury just east of downtown Denver is how the Warwick bills itself and, with
some very cheap online specials, this can be true. Rooms here are larger than average and
surprisingly modern. While the lackluster lobby leaves a bit to be desired, you are literally
a jump from downtown, and the rooftop pool is a summertime perk.
SETTING YOUR DENVER BUDGET
Budget travelers can eat well in Denver: cheap restaurant meals cost $7 or $8 and there are good options for self-
caterers. Inexpensive lodgings are harder to find, but the city has a handful of well-located backpacker options
where a dorm bed will cost around $20 and a double costs from about $50.
Mid-priced restaurant meals cost $10 to $15. Midrange travelers will be torn between cheaper $80-a-night
motel rooms in the 'burbs and digs nearer downtown, where the average room costs $100 to $200 a night.
Top-end travelers can choose among the many boutique hotels and B&Bs in the $180-plus bracket, often in
quiet leafy streets just outside downtown. Fine-dining options are plentiful.

the cooled-out Highlands neighborhood stand out from the pack - even the locals choose
to stay here for a weekend mystery getaway! The five suites are all different, although all
