In-Depth Information
Downtown Aquarium is both a novelty restaurant and a public aquarium (and tiger den).
It's a great place to take the kids…and a novel place to have a meal. Try the fish burger.

MUSEUM
( 720-258-3888; www.coloradosports.org ; 1701 Bryant St; 10am-3pm Thu-Sun Sep-May, 10am-3pm Tue-Sat
Jun-Aug; ; 16, 16L, 28, 30, 30L, 31, 36L RTD) This temple to Colorado's sporting
prowess is in the Sports Authority Field at Mile High Stadium. It has exhibits on the
Broncos and themes grouped under such purple headings as 'endurance' and 'sacrifice.'
It's nothing to go out of your way for, but a good way to kill time before an event at the
stadium.
South Central Denver
Washington Park
(WashPark; www.washpark.com ; cnr S Downing St & E Virginia Ave; ; 12 RTD) People somehow
just look better in Wash Park. They are fitter, trimmer, more tanned and even taller than
your average Denverite. Must be the rec center found in the middle of the park ($5 for a
day pass), which includes a pool, weights and more.
Or maybe it's the bikepath and lakes, nearby restaurants, volleyball games and tennis
matches that mark this park as one of the city's best.

GALLERY
( 303-993-4474; www.illiteratemagazine.com ; 82 S Broadway; 11am-7pm Tue-Sat; ; 0 RTD)
This gallery grew out of Illiterate Magazine , a locally published art publication, and its
thrust maintains a multidisciplinary edge, hosting events and hanging shows of regional
artists such as Denver painter Ravi Zupa. Progressive and hip, it fits perfectly in the South
Broadway neighborhood.
