Celebrate the holidays at glittery Christmas markets with mulled wine, gingerbread cook-
ies and shimmering ornaments. The markets in Munich, Nuremberg, Freiburg and
Salzburg are the most famous, but smaller ones sometimes have more local flavour. Open
from late November to 24 December.
