Ask at the tourist office about private rooms in and around Berchtesgaden and campsites
in Schönau near the Königssee. Advertised room rates normally don't include the local
spa tax of €2.10 per adult per night.

family for over a century, this well-run hotel offers a romantic vision of Alpine life with

galore. Five of the pricier rooms have their own whirlpools. Breakfast is a gourmet affair,
with sparkling wine and both hot and cold delectables.

restaurant.
