degrading synthetic dyes so far (Kaushik and Malik 2009 ). This ability is related to
the secretion of extracellular non-speci c ligninolytic enzymes, which are well

known to be involved in the degradation of the recalcitrant polymer lignin in nature
(Fig. 3 ).
