8. WHEN TO GO
The nicest months are September and October. In summer, however, the coastal
areas and the city tend to be blanketed in fog and points inland can be hot and dusty.
9. WHAT TO TAKE
Generally, San Franciscans dress casually. The best rule of thumb is to travel with as
little as possible - if you're missing something, you can buy it.
10. HOW LONG TO STAY
Unless you are very unusual, you will fall in love with this city and want to stay as
long as possible. A week should allow you to take in all the major sights; two weeks
will leave enough time to explore the coast and the Wine Country.
