CAFES
1. BLUE BOTTLE CAFE
This hip coffee roaster kicked off San Francisco's latest café trend; Blue Bottle serves
up perfect cappuccinos and lattes in its chic industrial SoMa space. Also on offer are
Kyoto-style iced-coffees. Perfection takes time, and these barristas take themselves
and their work very seriously, so be prepared for a bit of a wait. The experience is
worth trying at least once.

in this quarter's colorful history - either from the literary and artistic or the Italian
points of view. It's a great place for a cup of whatever warm liquid you favor, and to
sit and people-watch, or dip into one of the city's free weekly papers.
