Special Effects in Guided Edit
In addition to the options in the Actions Panel's Special Effects category, Elements includes
two categories in Guided Edit that contain lots of interesting special effects. Elements care-
fully walks you through some fairly complex photo work in these edits, which can create
pretty impressive results (see Figure 13-14 ).

To get started, click the Guided tab near the top of the Editor window, and then, in the panel
on the right side of your screen, click the Photo Effects category to display these options:
B&W Color Pop . Use this edit to create the popular look of a black-and-white image
with just one color left in it. Additional settings let you create a slightly gritty, atmo-
spheric look.
