Using Actions
Elements comes with a few useful actions to get you started, and you can add your own, as
explained later in this section. Here's how to run an action:
1.
Open a photo and then go to the Actions panel (Window
→
Actions)
.

Choose the action you want to run
.
In the Actions panel, each little yellow folder is an
action set
, a group of related ac-
tions. Elements comes with sets that let you add captions (and canvas to display the
captions), trim weight from your subjects, resize and crop photos, and apply special
effects to them. Choose the specific action you want from a set by clicking its name.
