Gaussian Blur: Drawing Attention to an Object
Probably the most frequently used of the Blur filters, Gaussian Blur (Filter→Blur→Gaussian
Blur) lets you control how much an image is blurred. Besides using it on large areas, like the
background in Figure 13-8 , bottom, you can apply this filter at a very low setting to soften
lines—useful when you're going for a sketched effect. To try out the different blurs, down-
