Polygon and Star Tools
You can draw many kinds of regular polygons with these tools. Figure 12-24 explains the
difference between them. With both tools, you use the Tool Options area's Sides setting to
control how many sides the shape has. And both these tools have a Smooth Corners check-
box, which you can turn on if you don't want sharp edges at the shape's corners.
The Star tool also has a couple options of its own:
Indent . Enter a percentage here to set how much the sides should be indented.
Smooth Indents . Turn this checkbox on if you don't want sharp interior angles on your
star.

Line Tool
Not surprisingly, you use this tool to draw straight lines and arrows. Specify the width of the
line in pixels in the Tool Options area. The “Arrow head” menu lets you choose whether Ele-
ments puts an arrowhead on the line at its beginning, end, or both. If you choose to add an ar-
rowhead, these additional settings appear to help you control what it looks like:
