The drawback to this method is that you can't easily go back and edit the layer style's color.
Even if you call up the Style Settings dialog box ( Adding Layer Styles ), you don't get any
active checkboxes, because these styles don't use those settings. Instead, you need to use a
Hue/Saturation adjustment (see The Hue/Saturation Dialog Box ) to go back later and change
the layer style's tint color.
The Graphics Panel's Tint Effects
The Graphics panel includes some frames that automatically apply tints to photos, as shown
in Figure 10-8 . (To display this panel, go to Window→Graphics.) These range from simple
all-over colors like sepia to fading gradients. (See Applying Gradients for more about gradi-
ents.)
