Figure 9-22. Here's an example of when the Color Replacement tool comes in handy. Say you have
a red-and-white tablecloth but you think this photo would look better if it were blue and white. In
this particular photo, the Replace Color command (page 341) and the Magic Wand (page 165)
would be hard to use, since the fruit is fairly similar in color to the tablecloth. But with the Color
Replacement tool, you can drag over the tablecloth's intricate pattern without getting blue any-
where else. In this example, the tool's mode is set to Hue, so that the blue matches the dullness of
the original red.
Using the Color Replacement tool is straightforward:
1. Set your foreground color square to the color you want to use as a replacement .
To change colors, click the foreground color square in the Tools panel, and then
choose a new hue from the Color Picker.
