In-Depth Information
Deep Water Bay
Start from the westernmost Deep Water Bay, a quiet little inlet with a beach flanked
by shade trees. Though not as famous as its neighbour Repulse Bay, it's less crowded
and its barbecue pits are a real draw for locals - a dip here, especially in late after-
noon, is sometimes accompanied by the aromas of grilled meat.
Repulse Bay
From Deep Water Bay, take the scenic Seaview Promenade 2km to Repulse Bay, and
be greeted by the sight of families and joggers going about their business. The long
beach with tawny sand at Repulse Bay is packed almost all the time in summer. The
water is murky, but it's good for people-watching.
Around Repulse Bay
The hills here are strewn with luxury residences, including a wavy pastel building
with a square hole in the middle, apparently a feature related to feng shui. At the
beach's southeast end there's an assembly of deities and figures, as well as Longev-
ity Bridge - crossing the bridge is supposed to add three days to your life.
