Charlotte Square
Charlotte Square ( Click here ) is the jewel in the New Town's architectural crown, a
masterpiece of neoclassical design. On the north side is the museum Georgian House (
Click here ) , while off the southeast corner is 16 South Charlotte Street , birthplace of
Alexander Graham Bell.
Oxford Bar
Leave the square at its northeast corner and turn right along Young St, passing the Oxford
Bar ( Click here ) , made famous by Ian Rankin's Inspector Rebus novels. Turn left on N
Castle St, right on Queen St then left again, taking a peek into the private Queen Street
Gardens .
