The Sights in a Day
Spend the best part of the morning taking a self-guided tour of the Palace of
Holyroodhouse ( Click here ) before breaking for lunch in the Café at the
Palace ( Click here ) , or at Hemma ( Click here ) .
If the weather is good, devote the afternoon to exploring Holyrood Park, climb-
ing to the top of Arthur's Seat ( Click here ) for a fantastic view of the city and
the Firth of Forth. If it's too cold or wet for outdoor exploration, take a tour of the Scot-
tish Parliament Building ( Click here ) followed by a visit to Our Dynamic Earth (
In summer, you could do worse than end your day at the Sheep Heid Inn ( Click
here ) for a pub dinner in the beer garden. In winter, book a table at Rhubarb (
Click here ) and dress up for an evening of divine decadence.
