Nicaraguan Way of Life
When it comes to their country, Nicaraguans strike a wonderful balance of pride and
humility. While many live in poverty and even the middle classes struggle to make
ends meet, when asked about their country, most prefer to highlight its rich culture
and natural beauty rather than dwell on the difficulties. And while the nation's dis-
tinct ethnic groups have their own particular cultures, one thing that unites all Ni-
caraguans is their laid-back style, great sense of humor and an openness that mani-
fests itself in their love of socializing with whoever happens to be around.
