El Chino's marvelous ceviche (seafood marinated in lemon or lime juice, garlic and
seasonings) prepared fresh every day and served in small polystyrene cups at this unre-
markable grocery shop. Choose from shrimp, fish, oyster or mixed and watch out for the
outrageously spicy homemade 'Dos Bocas' chili sauce - made with pounds of habanero
chillies.

politician Rayfield Hodgson that prepares the best coconut bread in town - but even that
is nothing compared to the delectable cinnamon-infused pineapple roll. The soda cakes
(ginger cookies) ain't bad either.

ing the day, this local institution transforms into the best fritanga (grill) in town in the
evenings, serving up delicious fritos - greasy fried chicken on piles of plantain chips with
pickles. Come early.

domino slamming, this lively bar serves great-value seafood including good fried fish and
cheap lobster (US$7.50). Book in advance and they'll cook you up some rundown or any
other Creole dish that you want to try.

this impressive thatched restaurant on the Loma Fresca hill, such as occasional live con-
