( 2792-2318; Parque Central, 1c N, 1c O; mains US$5-8; noon-10pm)
It has all the typical
shrimp, beef and chicken dishes you've come to expect, plus a fish in garlic sauce that
tastes like it came from your favorite Chinese kitchen.
Drinking
Drinking is a popular pastime in Port and it often begins early in the morning. You should
get an early start too, as things sometimes get a little rough later on.
Bar Titi
( noon-late)
Sounds like a strip club but it's actually one of Port's most chilled bars with
two large open-air huts and a mixed crowd striking up plenty of conversation without a
nipple in sight. Music ranges from reggae to
ranchero
depending on who's controlling the
jukebox.
BAR
Kabu Yula
(Parque Central, 5c S; 2pm-2am)
A two-story
palapa
(thatched, palm-leaf-roofed shelter
with open sides) with unbroken sea views. Perfect for an afternoon tipple.
BAR
Bar-Restaurant El Malecón
(Parque Central, 2c E, 1c S; 6pm-2am Thu-Sat)
This large air-con disco space by the water
plays mix of dancehall, reggae and Latin pop to keep the young crowd moving.
CLUB
Karibbean Sol
( 8pm-3am)
Sooner or later anyone out on a big night ends up here at this rustic dance-
hall half a block from Parque Central. It's a little sketchy but has plenty of atmosphere.
