This chilled hostel feels a lot like a houseshare with plenty of communal space, a spacious
shared kitchen and a pleasant rear garden. The rooms are neat and you could get lost in
some of the huge bathrooms. The management offers tours and hikes in the area and or-
ganizes volunteer placements with local organizations. Profits go toward local environ-
mental education projects.

rooms set around a sunny internal garden are not flash but are comfortable and quiet with

Friendly and welcoming, this unpretentious hotel on the south side of the Parque Infantil
offers brightly painted rooms, some offering mountain views, with hot water and cable

Run by a nonprofit organization, Los Ar-
cos remains the best hotel in town, with a dream location one block north of the cathedral,
a roof deck with kick-ass mountain and city views, and spotless rooms with soft sheets,
Spanish tiles and high ceilings. The rooms at the rear get more natural light.
