León probably packs in more hotels and hostels per square meter than any other place in
the country - it's hard to imagine them all filling up, although it may happen around the
Christmas or Easter high season.

More small hotel than hostel, the 'Lazy Turtle' does, however, offer all the hostel amenit-
ies, namely a great kitchen, book exchange, free coffee, pool table, some good chill-out
areas and a sociable atmosphere. Rooms are simple but stylish; dorms are spacious
enough; and the one upstairs room is a real winner, with big windows and plenty of air
and light.

quiet, less party-oriented spot has trim grounds, excellent rooms and dorms, and a very
laidback atmosphere. The age-old patio and sitting areas are every bit as lovely as those in
some midrange hotels, and the bar, good-sized pool and yummy breakfasts make this a
good deal.
