breaks. The break-down basic upstairs dorm rooms have balconies overlooking the beach
and catch the ocean breeze.

(US$2), yoga (US$10), pizza (US$6 to US$10) and cheap camping spots that include use
of the restaurant's bathrooms.

Buena Vista Surf Club

Parque Maderas, take a right to get to this spot with awesome views over the bay. It's a
small, upscale lodge offering just three rooms - two of them 'treehouses' (stilted cabinas
snuggled into the forest, and decked out with beautiful woods, huge mirrors and great
beds) and one room in the main house.

Tacos Locos

crazy now, ese!

Bahía Majagual
This beautiful bay with its steep white-sand beach is perfect for swimming (watch the rip
current, though), but only has OK surfing - you'll need to walk all of 10 minutes to the
big breaks. Tourist services are severely limited here
A beloved family-run option, the smurf-village Matilda's ( 8456-3461; permatents per
person US$6-7, s/d US$15/25) rents concrete 1.2m-high surfer huts and basic rooms. Tradi-
tional Nicaraguan food is available for US$3.50 and there's kitchen access for guests.
