Sunset Villas Hostel

best budget spot in town. There's a beachfront restaurant with plenty of hammocks. The
rooms are set in airy bungalows with firm beds, mosquito nets and fun beach vibes.

Hotel Magnific Rock

US$20/70; ) Built on what truly is a magnficient rock, this friendly surfer's hotel has
amazing views on all sides of Popoyo beach. The dorm rooms are simple, but good
enough, and the doubles have incredible beach views. The restaurant is recommended.

Casa Maur

about 1km from the entrance, this friendly beachfront hostel in a converted home has
turbo-charged ceiling fans, four-bed dorms, a chillaxed beachfront patio, plenty of ham-
mocks, table tennis and foosball.

Hotel Ola Verde
(8574-2003; beach; s/d US$24/45; ) At the entrance to town on the beach, this simple line
of rooms in a boring hotel block is basic but does the trick.

El Club del Surf
( www.clubdelsurf.com ; s/d US$30/40; ) Just past Casa Maur, this has spotless and spacious
rooms. You're not quite on the beach (which lies about 100m away), but you do get air-
con-cooled rooms and a friendly restaurant area, and good beach access at a decent price.
