Hotel Central
( 2569-4420; www.hotelcentraldeometepe.com ; Iglesia, 2c S; r per person US$9.30, cabin per per-
son US$12, cabin with air-con US$45; ) The best-looking rooms in town are a simple af-
fair but a good deal. Rooms out front are arranged around a pretty garden and have bath-
rooms with river-pebble accents. The cabinas out back are supercute, and the hotel res-
taurant serves good, cheap Nicaraguan food.

Hotel Castillo
( 2569-4403; www.hotelcastillo-ometepe.blogspot.com ; Iglesia, 1c S, ½c O; dm/s US$6/10, r with
air-con US$20; ) Nothing fancy going on here, but it's fairly clean and brightly
painted, with a couple of good hangout areas. The rooms can be a bit stale and the pillows
are a lumpy porridge consistency. The restaurant (dishes US$3 to US$5) is excellent, and
serves real coffee. You can arrange tours here.

Hospedaje Kencho
( 8944-4087; www.hotelkencho.com ; Iglesia, ½c S; r per person without bathroom US$3, s/d with
fan US$5/7, r with air-con US$30; ) This is a bargain-basement option with slightly run-
down rooms. Everything is clean, however, and the owners are friendly. The high-end
rooms out back with air-con aren't worth it.

around the park a couple of hours before ferry departures.
