Sleeping
You can camp at the beach, close to the restaurants and bars, for free, although there's not
much beach during rainy season. Restaurants offer showers for a small fee. The best (and
most logical) place to stay is down by the ferry terminal.
Hotel Dalinky
( 8912-1205; www.hoteldalinky.com ; ferry terminal, 100m E; dm/s/d without air-con US$10/20/25,
r with air-con US$50; ) Gleaming tiled rooms a stone's throw from the ferry en-
trance make this a top pick. Upstairs there's a balcony with island views, downstairs
there's a lush little breakfast area out back.

Hotel Hamacas
( 2563-0048; www.hotelhamacas.com ; ferry terminal, 100m E; s/d with fan US$25/30, with air-con
US$35/40; ) Cute little brick rooms painted in cheerful colors make this
hacienda-style hotel the most atmospheric offering in town. Rooms surround a leafy
courtyard area, and the requisite hammocks are strung up around the porch areas.

Eating
The restaurants lining the beach are convenient if you're waiting on your ferry. Sopa de
mojarra (fish soup made with coconut milk) is the local specialty.
