One of the few hotels with any real style in the area, the Conquistador masks itself
as a business hotel, but the granny quilts and wrought-iron bedstands reveal a homespun
bed and breakfast at heart. Rooms are big and comfortable - go for corner room number
5, with windows on two walls.

Teodolinda offers up some decent-sized rooms with all the business-class amenities. Good
nightlife and restaurants are all within a block's walk, but for the price, many will opt for
a place along the Carretera a Masaya.

The well-decked-out, carpeted rooms here are ridiculously big. Most
have two king-sized beds, and there's still enough room to swing various cats - if that's
what you're into. Go for room number 8 out the back - it's like a separate little house.

Centro Commercial & Carretera a Masaya
Although this cluster of upscale neighborhoods includes Metrocentro mall and Managua's
busiest intersection, walking around these shady side streets is rather nice, plus it's con-
venient to the country's best hotels and discos. Of course, you'll pay for it.
