The envisaged new generation software will support engineers with a homo-
geneous and more easily used working environment, by offering a common look-
and-feel user interface to the various simulation codes and the associated datasets.
In line with the given introduction example, a respective system will need to
integrate the latest ''best practice'' software tools and will be constantly updated in
order to easily run on the most-recent software/hardware platforms (Fig.
1.33
). It
will consist of an Internet-like portal, from which the investigator will be able to
