HISTORIC KENTON: PAUL BUNYAN TERRITORY - Walking Portland - page 162

Follow N. Schofield St. until you get to N. Delaware Ave., and turn
right. Veer right again, just before N. Halleck St., to enter Kenton Park.
A paved pathway steers you diagonally through the center of the park;
a children's playground is off to the left. On a hot day, seek out the awe-
some “spraypark,” which takes running through the sprinklers to a
whole new level.
At the far (northeast) corner of the park, you'll come to N. Argyle St.
and turn right. Veer right at N. Interstate Ave. to return to the starting
point and good old Paul Bunyan.

The starting point of this walk makes for an easy connection with Walk 26:
Columbia River Walk .

ROUTE SUMMARY

1. Start at the Kenton/N. Denver MAX Station.

2. Cross N. Interstate Ave. to the Paul Bunyan statue.

3. Go straight along N. Denver Ave., then turn right across Denver to N. Willis Blvd.

4. Retrace your steps to N. Denver Ave. and turn right.

5. At N. McClellan St., cross to the other side of N. Denver, still heading right

(south).

6. At N. Schofield St., recross N. Denver and turn right.

7. Turn left on N. Kilpatrick St.
