MAJOR ATTRACTIONS
A'lure—the Call of the Ocean
Frommer's Rating: B+
Recommended Ages: All ages
Replacing Odyssea, this 30-minute Cirque du Soleil-style production takes guests on a
journey through the depths of the ocean by combining music, special effects, colorful
projections, circus acrobatics, aerialists, and dancers (among other performers) to create
a new, mythically inspired undersea-themed show. Performances are held daily at the
park's Nautilus Theater. The special effects outshine those of its predecessor, as do the
acrobatic stunts. And because it's completely indoors, it's a good place to escape one of
the brief showers that usually spring up in Orlando on summer afternoons.
Believe
Frommer's Rating: A+
Recommended Ages: All ages
This killer whale show replaced the old Shamu Adventure. Spectacular balletlike choreog-
raphy, a three-story-high set design (featuring a gigantic whale tail, fountains, and video
screens), and an exciting musical score combine to create a rather impressive production.

A Whale of a Good Time
Shamu Underwater Viewing is an exhibit that adjoins Believe and lets you get
close to killer whales and learn about breeding programs. The underwater view-
ing area allows a great close-up look at the tremendous creatures. You may even
get to see a mother with her baby (the newest calf made his debut in Sept 2006).
