On Again, off Again . . . on Again
The menu at Tomorrowland Terrace Noodle Station includes Oriental-style
chicken and beef dishes, egg rolls, and other Asian-themed cuisine along with
chicken nuggets and a wide selection of kid's meals. It's one of the prettiest and
largest outdoor seating areas in the park; you can eat out in the fresh air even as
you get a respite from the hot Florida sun. And as an added bonus, you get a
great view of the gardens, waterways, and Cinderella Castle. If you have picked
up a sweet treat along one of Main Street's eateries and can't find a place to sit
down (often the case), this is the perfect place to head, as it's often overlooked
by visitors. Note: The Noodle Station is a seasonal eatery that's open sporadically,
so be sure to check your guide map to see if it's open when you're visiting. All
items cost $7 to $9.
Another on-again/off-again eatery at the Magic Kingdom is the Diamond
Horseshoe. This saloon-themed space functions as a counter service dining spot
only when the park is in need of an additional spot for guests to dine. Check your
times guide to see if it's open when you're visiting—in the past they've served up
sandwiches during lunch and full-fledged dinners during the holidays and peak
travel seasons—because it's not well publicized it's often a quieter and less
crowded option than the usual hot spots.
offer some rather decent light fare. Battered fish and chicken—far meatier than most—
tasty ham; hummus; tuna sandwiches, a BLT salad with chicken, bacon, egg, and tomato;
a harvest salad with chicken, veggies, cheese, and sunflower seeds; vegetarian chili; clam
chowder; and fruit are featured on the menu.

Cosmic Ray's Starlight Café AMERICAN The largest of the park's fast-food spots,
this cafe features an appropriately huge menu. Three separate counters, similar to a food
court, serve a variety of chicken options (whole- or half-rotisserie, dark meat, white meat,
fried or grilled), ribs, sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, veggie wraps, soups, and salads. The
combination of its casual atmosphere and varied menu makes Ray's a great choice for
those with kids (who also enjoy the occasional mealtime entertainment by “alien” Sonny
Eclipse). Do note, however, that you may have to wait in more than one line here, as each
station offers a different selection. Other minuses: The large dining area fills up quickly
at lunch and dinner, and the noise level is generally high. Tip: Kosher meals are available
here for direct purchase (though they're pricey and not particularly noteworthy in the
taste department).

Pecos Bill Café AMERICAN Set in an old-time saloon of sorts, with ornate
wrought iron accents, tile work scattered throughout, heavy flamelike chandeliers, and a
golden stucco interior, this sit-and-go fast-food joint serves up burgers, hot dogs, salads,
a barbecue pork sandwich, and a great chicken wrap sandwich. There's also a fixin's bar
full of extras. Portions are large, though, and like all other park dining options, so are the
prices. Its good location—just between Frontierland and Adventureland—means that
