itelj (POTCH-ee-tell) is an artists' colony filled with a compelling mix of Christian and
Muslim architecture. Ideally situated right along the main Mostar-to-Croatia road, it's one
of the most popular rest stops for passing tour buses, so it's hardly undiscovered. But it's
still worth a stop for its dramatically vertical townscape and beautifully restored Ottoman
architecture.
