The Montenegrin Interior A visit to Montenegro's scruffy but historic former cap-
ital, Cetinje, comes with a twisty drive up a mountain road and across a desolate,
forgotten-feeling plateau. Allow a full day or more (best reached by car).
Budva Riviera Montenegro's best stretch of sandy beaches isn't worth a special trip,
but it's a fun excuse for a drive if you've got extra time to kill. The highlight is the
famous resort peninsula of Sveti Stefan. Allow a full day or more (best reached by
car).
On the Mainland near Dubrovnik

Bukovac. Allow a few hours (best reached by boat or bus).
